Winter Wonderland

winter wonderland at Balintore Castle
Given this season's failure of Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen's "Winter Wonderland", it behooves us to appreciate that the current super-abundance of snow in Scotland and the county's heritage, can themselves create a genuine winter wonderland without artifice or refunded admission charges.

Andy was up on the roof to check chimney operation a few days ago and snapped this wonderful photo.  Sometimes a blog entry needs no more justification than the right image!

    1. Thanks for your kind words Tony. The demands of the restoration are more than keeping Paul and myself busy. Cheers, David

  3. Dear David,

i have just found your blog today but already read it from the very beggining till the latest post. All the reconstruction you and your friends do is amazing. I even can't imagine how difficult it is ... but also interesting and insiring, of course! I have a passion for castles since childhood, but in Russia we don't have many of them (i'm from Moscow)... I moved to Italy recently and i may say that fortunatelly there are a lot of castles here!

Good luck with your work! And hope to see blog updates soon!

    Best wishes,

    Maria
