I was confused when I did my original Web research for the article. Eventually I gave up trying to make sense of it, and just published.
Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04217306675998382738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-410035090306749692.post-55159282079015809342020-05-01T01:52:41.255-07:002020-05-01T01:52:41.255-07:00I have just come across this page and was about to...I have just come across this page and was about to write a similar comment, as my children are currently in attendance at Maisondieu Primary School.
Many years ago it was the high school before becoming Maisondieu Primary school so this may be where the confusion has come from.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09562107140195769674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-410035090306749692.post-22033010503211735342020-01-22T08:11:26.076-08:002020-01-22T08:11:26.076-08:00I have been reading your blog on and off for some ...I have been reading your blog on and off for some years. I just want to say it is fabulous reading.

One thing though, in this post you have misidentified the old brechin high school, the picture you have is in fact of Maisondieu primary school in Brechin and it is still standing. I walked past it yesterday, so don't fear for that building it is looking in good shape and still standing.

The old high school that was demolished was a 1960s build and had the architecture to match a government building built to a price in the 1960s, it was grotty. The stone pictured here, bears quite a resemblance to a stone found behind a wall in another of your blogs, thought to have possibly been a masonry mistake, then hidden. Interesting.
